Beer Review: Wicked Weed Bedevilled

Overall: 4.5 out of 5, grainy sweet malt flavor, Belgian yeast aroma

Category: Belgian Golden Strong Ale

Appearance: Hazy gold, white head with mild persistence

Aroma: Light pepper and grainy malt aroma

Mouthfeel: Medium Light to Medium body, dry finish, hides ABV very well

Flavors: Mild sweet malt flavor dominates the palate, no noticeable bitterness. I would put this just a touch sweeter than a classic Belgian Tripel.

Aftertaste: Nice mild sweet aftertaste that doesn’t linger.

Food Pairing: I think this would be cool with semi-sweet breaded dessert, even a simple cookie. The sweetness would cancel each other out, leaving the beer unbalanced showcasing the carbonation and ABV.

Bedeviled

I encourage you to visit the Wicked Weed website to find out more about this awesome NC gem of a brewery.
