Beer Review: Tree House, Julius

Overall: 4.75 out of 5, great hop aroma and flavor.

Category: New England IPA

Appearance: Bright, hazy orange, mildly persistent off-white head

Aroma: A mix of resinous and stone fruit hops

Mouthfeel: Medium body, oily finish (probably from oats).

Flavors: This has the softest blend of dank and resinous hops I have ever tasted. The resinous hops overpower the fruity flavors but in a good way, because once you pick up on the stone fruit, its an amazing find. The beer has slight sweetness in the beginning and the finish.

Aftertaste: Soft round bitter aftertaste

Food Pairing: I wouldn’t try to pair this beer with food, just enjoy it. But if you must have it with food, play off the pine/resinous hops. A light herbal salad would work great.

I encourage you to visit the Tree House Brewing website to find out more about this awesome New England brewery.
