Cooking With Beer: 1st Attempt

A friend of ours bought us a cook book, The Best of Cooking With Beer, that has a lot of fun recipes that call for beer. Our first attempt was pickling veggies using a Belgian Gueuze. This is a shortcut version of pickling vegetables since you are just mixing vinegar and sour beer and letting it soak the vegetables for a few hours. I messed up the recipe by adding too much coriander but other than that, the veggies were enjoyable.

I went with one of my favorite beers, Lindeman’s Cuvee Rene.
